The industry has yet to come up with a universal term for die cast nameplates. Different companies have come up with different terminologies for the process according to the nature of their products. This is why you may have come across different terms such as die cast aluminum plates, thick plates, aluminum extrusion nameplates and so forth, but generally speaking, all these refer to die cast nameplates.
In terms of the materials’ physical properties, the die cast nameplates we produce at Yosat can be categorized into 3D nameplates and aluminum extrusion nameplates. Aluminum is used in both types of nameplates through the process of extrusion: text or images are extruded from the molds and are later decorated with paintings and surface carvings. In addition, feet can be added at the back of the end products. As aluminum is highly malleable, it can be presented in different shapes to create 3D effects and a sense of elegance.
Characteristics
3D nameplates
in terms of molding conditions, aluminum is one of the most malleable materials available. The characteristics of 3D nameplates are similar to aluminum nameplates, since they can be made according to clients’ specific needs through precise process planning.
Aluminum extrusion nameplates
Offers good density; can be processed with special techniques such as anodizing, hard anodizing and so forth. These nameplates also offer a certain level of resistance towards various types of pressure.
Applications
Nameplate design for various industries, such as consumer electronic products, information industries, etc.
